Job Opportunities: Café Catering Manager and a Café Floor Manager 

Are you passionate about connecting to building community and sharing the gospel? 

The Lighthouse Church in Hawkinge is seeking two separate posts for their café, a Café Catering Manager and a Café Floor Manager for their community café.

These unique roles will involve hosting our many visitors, ensuring the smooth and safe running 

of the cafe, and being key points of contact between our church and the wider community. 

Key Responsibilities:

The Catering Manager

       To lead and model excellent catering skills, making sure the kitchen and service of food and drinks meets the café’s 5-star rating.  

·       To be responsible for the budget making sure the café runs within the donations given and does not over spend. 

·       To create and maintain an interesting menu that reflects the customers and the needs of the church. 

The Café Floor manager

·       Act as host to the café, offering a warm and helpful welcome.

·       Liaise with the Vicar, Church Wardens and Safeguarding Officers. 

·       Support and help build a volunteer team. 

·       Plan events and help with publicity and advertising of the café.

We are looking for: 

•Christians or persons fully supportive of the Christian faith and the life, values and teaching of this church. 

• Those with a servant heart, willing to work accountably as part of the team.

• Team players with strong communication and organisational skills.
