Goings On
July 4 2021 - Online Sunday Services come to an end
Today was the last of our two online services which are now
being replaced by a recording of our Sunday talk which will be uploaded to
YouTube.
Big thankyou to Tony Ruston and Dave Williams who between them have produced over 120 services in
the last 16 months.
Online Assemblies
During lockdown, we have been able to carry on doing assemblies for our two local primary schools in Hawkinge. Each week, a new assembly is produced with the majority of them involving an animation from our own Helen Evans.
You can enjoy the animations and use them freely from our YouTube Assemblies playlist.
Easter Sunday 2021 - Hawkinge wakes up to Easter Eggcitement
This is the news that Hawkinge woke up to on Easter Sunday.
In the preceding weeks, groups from Hawkinge Baptist Church and Lighthouse Church had been busy making hanging baskets for creme eggs, all of which had a Bible blessing wrapped round them.
Early on Easter Sunday at 6am, teams from the two churches were out in Hawkinge hanging around 1350 eggs all over the village. #lovehawkinge
Here's Jacque talking about how the project started and the impact it had:
Sunday 21 March - our first Sunday service in the church this year
It's been a long wait but we are glad to be open again ... although in a restricted way.
Our prayer is that we are open on a permanent basis and we look forward to things gradually getting back to normal in the months ahead. We are acutely aware of all the things we still cannot do but it was good for those who felt able to be there to have this time where we could worship together.
While there are still restrictions in place, we are very much committed to our online services and pray that whether you connect with us in person or online, you will know God speaking to you as we come together.
