Wednesday 7th November

Know your church, know your neighbourhood
Keith Berry

Rev Rob GrinsellDear church family,
We are hosting the course, ‘Know your church, know your neighbourhood’, beginning on Wednesday 7th November. The course begins at 7.30pm until 9.30pm in the church.

There are 6 monthly sessions:
2018: 7th November, 28th November
2019: 9th January, 6th February, 6th March & 10th April.

The course is led by Keith Berry. Keith has expertise in reading communities and mobilising mission capacity in churches. He is a member of the Christian Centre, a large evangelical church in Seasalter, Kent. (He is also a Derby County football supporter, so clearly a man of great faith!)

The aim of this course is to research and explore the dynamics of Hawkinge, listen to the community and be led by the Holy Spirit as to what mission endeavours are needed to reach the people of Hawkinge.
The course will involve inviting us to engage with people, talking to them and asking them what they feel the needs of the community are and how we can best serve Hawkinge as a church.

It’s important to note that you do not have to live in Hawkinge to be part of this process. Hawkinge is the focal mission area for all of us, irrespective of where we live.

After this the Lord appointed seventy-two others and sent them two by two ahead of him to every town and place where he was about to go.
Luke 10:1

I believe this course will be interesting and enjoyable but also envisioning. It will enable us as a church together to forge the vision the Lord’s wants us to have for the next season for our church.

If you are interested, could you simply email me to say that you would like to come so we have an idea of numbers?

Every blessing

He told them, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field”.
