This Sunday (7th October)
Dear church family,
just a reminder that this Sunday is our Harvest Festival and Compassion Sunday service.
Harvest is our special time of year when we can show our generosity to others. The children may like to come with some food items to bring to the altar during the first song. Our food donation is going to people we can bless in the Lord this year. June and Maggie have asked if the items can be gift products, which convey our love to people. Many of us can remember a time when we have been touched by someone’s gift of love and generosity. We want this to be our opportunity to do this, an expression of God’s love to people who need a ‘touch from the King’.
This is an All-Age service, so the children will remain in the church throughout. The service will also be an important opportunity to say a huge thank you to everyone for their love and service to the church and community. There will be teaching for the children on the importance of sharing and there will be a sermon for the adults during which time the children will be engaged with a Table Top craft activity. We will also pray for our town as our overall aim is always to advance the gospel and see people saved.
Do come and support our Harvest service on Sunday. A traditional time for Christians to come to church to give thanks to the Lord and reach out to others.
